How does billing work?
StaffSignal uses Shopify's built-in billing system. Charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice — no separate payment setup, no extra credit card forms.
Can I switch plans anytime?
Absolutely. Upgrade or downgrade at any time from within the app. Changes take effect immediately and billing is prorated.
What happens after my free trial?
After your 14-day free trial ends, you'll be prompted to choose a paid plan or stay on the Free plan. All your rules, channels, and history are preserved.
Is WhatsApp really included in every plan?
Yes. Every plan — including Free — includes WhatsApp via Twilio. You'll need a Twilio account (they offer a free sandbox for testing). What scales between plans is the monthly notification volume, not the channels themselves.
What if I exceed my monthly notification limit?
We'll notify you when you're approaching your limit. Notifications are paused once the limit is reached — simply upgrade your plan to continue. No overage charges.
Do you offer annual billing?
Currently we bill monthly through Shopify. Annual billing with a discount is coming soon. Contact us if you'd like to be notified when it's available.
