Is WhatsApp really included on every plan?

Yes. All six channels — including WhatsApp via Twilio — work on every plan including Free. What scales is volume, not channel access.
Do I need to write any code?

What happens if a notification fails to send?

StaffSignal automatically retries up to 3 times with exponential backoff. The Logs page shows the exact error response from the channel so you can fix the issue.

How is billing handled?

What if I exceed my monthly notification limit?

We notify you when you're at 70% and 90% of the limit. Notifications pause once you hit it. No overage charges — just upgrade your plan to continue.
Can I switch plans anytime?

Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or drop to the Free plan from inside the embedded app. Changes are immediate and prorated by Shopify.
What about customer data privacy?

StaffSignal is GDPR-compliant and uses Shopify's Protected Customer Data approval. Webhooks are HMAC-verified; we don't store full order bodies — only the metadata needed to deliver the notification.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?

Your store is marked inactive immediately. Recipients and logs are retained for 14 days in case you reinstall, then deleted. Per Shopify GDPR rules, shop/redact webhook deletes everything within 48 hours.
Can I customize the message body?

Yes. The Templates page lets you edit subject and HTML body for every event type, with merge variables like {{order_name}}, {{customer_name}}, {{store_name}}.
Is there a setup or onboarding fee?
